THE 2nd KANE CHRONICLES RELEASE DATE!!!

The second book in Rick Riordan's Kane Chronicles is FINALLY coming soon!
Rick Riordan has revealed on his blog that book 2 of The Kane Chronicles will be released on 3rd May 2011.

Disney-Hyperion released the following in a press release...
"In this exciting second instalment of the three-book series, Carter and Sadie, offspring of the brilliant Egyptologist Dr. Julius Kane, embark on a worldwide search for the Book of Ra, but the House of Life and the gods of chaos are determined to stop them."

Rick has also revealed that we will get to meet a new god who is his "favourite mythological god ever". He doesn't actually state which mythology this god belongs to, so in theory they could be from any mythology (though it's probably safe to say there's a good chance that they are Egyptian).
